10/30/15

Good Morning, Tonight is Trunk or Treating.  We’re looking forward to a great family event.  As a reminder…For safety reasons…The PTO cannot be responsible for any children.  As a reminder, All children need to be accompanied by an adult, as this is a family event. The carnival games will begin at 4:45 and go until 6:30, in the gazebo area.  All the carnival games are free. Student Council will be offering a hot dog meal for $3.00 per person.   All cars that are participating need to be parked by 5:00, and plan to stay until 6:30 p.m. Trunk or Treating will take place on the field. Children will begin Trick or Treating @ 5:30.  Don’t forget to bring your carved pumpkin. If you have any questions call the office (798-5651).  PTO meeting Wednesday, November 4th @ 6:30.  All are invited. Have a great weekend

Good Morning, Boys 7 & 8 Basketball open gym tonight from 4:30-6:00. Morning Cup Stacking meetings begin next week.  We will meet every other week on Friday mornings from 7:30-8:00 in the Art Room.  Any student who is currently signed up will bring home a schedule of dates this week.  New members are encouraged to participate.  Contact Mrs. Carrier ccarrier@sau53.org for more information. Good Morning, Are you a veteran (or know of one) who would be willing to come speak to Chichester Central School classes prior to our school assembly? During the afternoon of November 10, we would love to have you join us for this important occasion. We are looking to have veterans in our community speak about the importance of honoring and recognizing those who have served our country. We are planning these classroom visits to be 10-20 minutes long.  Thursday, October 29th is the the last day to register. Good Morning, Congratulations to our boys & girls soccer teams on finishing the weekend strong at their tournaments.  The boys came in second place and the girls had a great team effort.  A great season for both CCS teams! School Board meets tonight @ 6:00.   Click here for Trunk or Treat info and registration form As you know, early childhood dental caries is a particularly aggressive form of dental disease that often begins at a very young age.  The development of dental disease in children is often linked to dietary practices that may begin in infancy and continue through adolescence and adulthood.   Our goal at Northwood Family Dental Center is to create awareness in the community that regular dental visits are important to oral and overall health and to educate people that tooth decay is preventable and that children are not predestined to develop dental disease because their parents and grandparents have suffered from these problems.  Our Halloween Candy Exchange p

Info for 6-8 Boys & Girls Soccer Tournament

Good Afternoon, Please click here for Boys Schedule Please click here for Girls Schedule Boys Bracket Brackets to the boys tournament have been distributed to all members of the team that attended last night’s practice.  For those of us that have not seen the bracket, it has also been sent by email to all parents that receive the daily email blasts from the office.  The tournament will be held at Drake Park in Pittsfield.  The boys have earned the 4 th spot in the tournament and will play a “play in” game against Allenstown at 9am.  The winner of this game will play at 10:30 against Barnstead.  The loser of our first game will be eliminated from the tournament.  If Chichester beats Allenstown and Barnstead, we will play in the championship game at 1:30.  If Chichester beats Allesntown and loses to Barnstead, we will play in the 3 rd place game at 12 noon.  Players will be asked to arrive at Pittsfield at 8:15 on Saturday morning to prepare for our first game

Good Morning, Picture Re-Take day today. Girls & Boys Basketball and Cheering signups for grades 5-8 end this Friday. Early Release tomorrow @ 12:30.  No PM Kindergarten. No School Friday.  Parent/Teacher Conferences. CHICHESTER TOWN LIBRARY NEWS The town library is sponsoring a Folk concert this Saturday.  It will be held at the Grange Hall (54 Main St.) @ 7:00.  Jim Barnes is a local musician, who sings Irish and American Folk Songs.   This is a free, family friendly concert.  All are welcome to attend. . Our used book store is in need of books.  If you have any books you know you won't read again, we would LOVE to sell them in The Down Under Book Store. Just drop them off during library hours, or put them in the book drop.  Mon. Wed.: 2:30-8:30, Tues, Thurs. 10:00-1:30, Fri. 1:30-4:30, Sat. 9 - 12. Have a great day

Good Morning, Soccer today Home v. Barnstead @ 3:30    Boys first. Congratulations to the CCS X-Country team on a awesome season.  Team members all  posted personal best times at the League Championship meet last Friday @ Coe-Brown. Congratulations to the girls soccer team on their win against Epsom yesterday.  The boys soccer team gave a great team effort at their game against Epsom. Picture Re-Takes tomorrow. Good Morning, X-Country Championship meet @ Coe-Brown today. We are looking for Veterans from our community to help serve as classroom speakers on Nov. 10.  If you or a local family member is interested in participating, please click here for the Veterans Day form. What is Trunk or Treating? Trunk or Treating is a fun, safe, and convenient way for children and families to celebrate Halloween and trick or treat in one location. Good Morning, Grandparents Luncheon is today. Scrabble Club until 4:00. Boys Soccer @ Home v. Pittsfield  4:00. X-Country League Championship Friday @ Coe-Brown. Student Council meeting Friday @ 7:30. Again this year the school is offering free flu shots for students.  This is in conjunction with the New Hampshire Immunization Program and the Capital Area Public Health Network.  This flu shot clinic will take place on October 20th.  Parent permission forms were sent home on Tuesday. Good Morning, Soccer today Home v. Gilmanton.  Boys first @ 4:00. School Board Public Hearing tonight @ 5:30.  Discussion of FY15 retained funds for replacement of heating system.  School Board meeting to follow. There will be Boys Basketball open gym starting tomorrow.  The open gym will be on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30. Trunk or treating is on Friday October 30th from 4:45- 6:30. Set up and decorating of trunks and kids activities from 4:45 - 5:30. All cars participating must be parked by 5:00. There will be a bring your own pumpkin carving contest, best trunk contest and best costume contest. We are asking all who wish to participate in the fun community event to call the office or fill out the form by Friday October 23rd.   Please click here for Trunk or Treating form The student flu clinic is taking place October 20th.  Permission slips are going home today or tomorrow and need to be returned by Friday October 16th.  These flu shots are free.

Because of input from  members of our community, the Chichester School Board is piloting a Budget Advisory Committee for this budget season.  We are looking for up to 7 registered Chichester voters to review our budget from their own perspectives!   Ideally we’ll have at least one person from these categories:  member of the Town Advisory Budget Committee, current parent of a child in the school, someone who does not have a child currently in the school and someone with budgetary experience.  If you are interested in applyin

Good Morning, Student Council school grounds clean-up after school today until 4:15. NJHS and Student Council are teaming up for the Making Strides breast cancer walk on Oct. 18. If you would like to donate to this great cause and help our team achieve our goals you can drop off any donations at the office for Mrs. Mara or Mrs. Lakeman or any students in our two groups.
