2021-22 Basketball Important Update

Hello All,

We are off to a great start to our Athletic Season with strong showings from our athletes in both soccer and cross country.  It’s hard to believe it’s time to turn the page to basketball.  There is a lot of information in this so please take the time to read all the way through.

3rd/4th Grade Basketball

We are excited to announce that enough girls have signed up to allow us to field our first 3rd/4th Grade School Team.  Eric Hussey will be coaching these girls as they play in the Merrimack Basketball League.  Practices will be two times a week for an hour each session beginning the week of 11/1.  I have attached a school wide practice schedule for you at the end of the update.

Unfortunately we still need a few more 3rd and 4th Grade boys to be able to have a team at this level.  Please let me know by 10/27 if you are interested in having your son play.

5th - 8th Grade Basketball

After reviewing sign ups for grades 5 through 8 we are able to field the following teams:

5/6 Boys - I will be coaching this team and can’t wait to see how everything comes together throughout the season.

7/8 Boys - Julia Valotto and Dave Hussey will once again coach the middle school boys.

6/8 Girls - Due to low sign up numbers we will have to move our 6th Grade girls up to field a team.  The team will be coached by Gordon Bilodeau.

I am very excited to once again work with this group of coaches as we work with your student athletes throughout the course of the year.

Parents Meetings

There will be a meeting for parents of each team Thursday 10/28 to go through all the expectations of the players and parents for the year.  It will give the parents an opportunity to ask questions and to meet our coaches.

Thursday 10/28:

5/6 Boys 5:30 pm

3/4 Girls 6 pm

6/8 Girls 7:30 pm

Next Open Gym times: Monday 10/25 and Thursday 10/28 from 6:00 to 7:20.
